PTCS was founded in 1999 by Kim Bates, CPA. Kim's experience stems from her years in the Silicon Valley office of Pricewaterhouse LLP where she was Multistate Tax Manager. Her experience includes federal, state and local compliance and consulting in the areas of income/franchise, sales and use and payroll taxation.

While at PW, Kim spent several years working on multi-national corporations' federal and multistate income tax returns before focusing on multistate tax issues. That experience coupled with the time spent focusing on state and local issues allows her to bring a unique blend of experience to her clients.

Eric Bates joined PTCS in late 1999. Eric brought years of management and manufacturing experience to the firm after holding a Director of Manufacturing position at a Silicon Valley company. His background allowed him to quickly become a valuable resource for clients in documenting their state and federal research and development (R&D) tax credits.

They, along with their staff, strive to provide each client with personal, attentive, quality service at an excellent value.
